The Process

The process between birth and death, the cycle of being…

Physical death, the false nature of humanity

Spiritual death, the pathway, the door to life

The inability of mankind to break free

From the matrix of mind, fixed structures

Concrete highways to a lifetime of imprisonment

The inability to think outside the box

Death or life, the flip side of a coin

The line between consciousness and mind domination

We are the living dead, in a universe of life

Birth therefore the starting point of death

And death the starting point to life.

Life the present moment in each second

Life is process of dying

Dying to man made ideas

Ideas of separation;

Color

Religion

Governments

And nations

The matrix to enslave the mind

The engine to control the nations

The poison of life

The unwritten bible

The process between birth and death, the cycle of being…

hi

It looks like you lost your way. Aren't we here to assist with helping people with their poetry and not just judging the content of the poems. For we all have different views and that is how it should be............. Stef

I seem to be doing a lot of this lately

Stefan, Jess offered a critique of your work, not a judgment of your person. Jess is a direct individual and talented and has a lot to offer. When Jess comments on my work, I listen. I may not implement everything he says, but I listen because I want my work to be better and if Jess' direct commentary can provoke me to be better, I will gladly take it and I have. Jess has given you his opinion about the way your poem presents and you have responded with a personal judgment about Jess. This is not a productive discussion. Now could Jess have modified his statements to be something like: "Stefan, the use of language in this piece is awkward and appear more pretense than information, as if you were presenting divine and unique knowledge to the unwashed masses. This is the type of message that normally does not play well in a group of peers and in all honesty reminds me of something that would sound profound only if the audience were under the influence of their favourite drug." Sure, but that's not his style and uses a lot more words and, let's face it, says exactly the same thing. This is a poetry workshop and part of the lesson is to grow a thicker skin and not take every comment that is not praise as a personal attack. If you disagree with Jess, and I do not know if you do as your reply has nothing at all to do with his comment, then you need to request him to elaborate on specific points. You need to enter into a dialogue as to why he feels the message is not coming through and why you feel it is. Now, this is only a discussion you can have if you want to participate in the workshop aspect of Neopoet. If you are here to present your work, you should just ignore all comments that are not praise and move on. --Jonathan Annoying the world, one person at a time (Group discounts available)
