Nightmares for a buck

Tendrils of blood
Claw the shower drain
Thier crimson plumage of the throat
Feathery fingers draw back
As if to make thier point once more

Then to slip inside silver oblivion
Lively serpents tails
Flick and shudder~ suffuse

Needless ornaments
Of tedious lurid dreams

Feathered beasts with eyes of smoke
That doze upon a bed
Of shedded scales
