human nature
if our nature was not peace
would we ever feel disturbed?
if our eyes could see in the dark gloom
would we know the light of awareness?
if our hearts were not already filled
with love, would we ever suffer its loss?
part 2 4/8/10
in the solemnity of the night,
when stars transfigure sky
nature abides in what is hidden
from the human eye,
to ask the question why
is to deny assertion
to ponder the depth of uncertainty is to plumb
the surface of light,
the answer never lies
when water is thirst.
would we ever feel disturbed?
if our eyes could see in the dark gloom
would we know the light of awareness?
if our hearts were not already filled
with love, would we ever suffer its loss?
part 2 4/8/10
in the solemnity of the night,
when stars transfigure sky
nature abides in what is hidden
from the human eye,
to ask the question why
is to deny assertion
to ponder the depth of uncertainty is to plumb
the surface of light,
the answer never lies
when water is thirst.
