Ambrosial Altercation

remember the dancefloor hush
music flooding our ears
like thick tongues

oiled our souls with lubricant
lust the bottled speechs
bow tied women poured

and candle flicker

table rounded rounders
with quilty smiles

our dark filling light headed
cacaphonies

smile smile wider
and dagger heartbeat
stagger us

Here is the door with number
there is the cab warm and
wide inside
the dashboard grinning
the cabbie
smiling with gold capped
capulet

We smell of sweat and smoke
and our annointments
stopping to fall into intensities
the momentum desire

put on a platter and
turn the table

the lights are low
this set scene

cream flesh
scarred and nicked

like soul dredged socialites
the night is afresh mockery
filled with poison gleaming
stars

sharpened in their places

away from that

wind gleans through the chimes of darkness the wind howls in the high test wires eighty footers the old trees whistling phantasm and fantastic running three songs on U Tube so this is what it all sounds like blended together peaceful to me anyway I know all the songs the wilds and the electronic tilt my head keep writing I once was that person the poem wound unwinding the trail I remember Pernod and John L beer double black russians no glamour then or now stars sharpened but how they shone then and shine now for me look too hard and cut my fingers if I reach too high soft memory recall hold standard to stall falling f a l l i n '

I loved this Esk, as Seren

I loved this Esk, as Seren so rightly said. Briliant. I had been in withdrawl of your work, I am so glad I found you. I Try to catch everything but there is so much to miss. Great work. Julie D.D.
