I Know You Too Well
You can look at me,
With a smile on your face,
Hate in your eyes,
Then make haste.
You can bitch behind my back,
Lie through your teeth,
But I know who you are,
And what you are underneath.
I know you can care,
I know you can cry,
But the sarcasm hurts,
And I will not lie.
We need to talk,
But not through others,
Including friends,
With advice like our Mothers.
With a smile on your face,
Hate in your eyes,
Then make haste.
You can bitch behind my back,
Lie through your teeth,
But I know who you are,
And what you are underneath.
I know you can care,
I know you can cry,
But the sarcasm hurts,
And I will not lie.
We need to talk,
But not through others,
Including friends,
With advice like our Mothers.
