Mum

The spark that made my idea bright
The moon on a unlit night
A spotlight seeking me out.

Love spread with actions
Inspiration with her words
Smiles she always arouse.

Tribute to you love
Caring from the start
Its very sad that we must part.

You'll always be in my heart
I envy how you were smart
Crafty with word of art.

Friends we will remain, your reasons are your own, though I hope that you don't sulk a lone.

This one is for you Rosina.

Nice job Alex

That was great a tribute to her. I to hope she gets to read this beautiful poem. Carrying your own battle scars is a sign of your own strength. Carrying others battle scars is a sign of your very soul.

Thanks Mona.

Alex was a great support to me just like yourself and many others. I was so overwhelmed with the poems that my friends wrote for me. If I missed reading any of them, then I like it if someone could tell me where they are on the site. Rosina xena465

For Alex and Rosina

Alex it was nice to read your dedication & Rosina your response to it...it was as pure and akin to seeing a sparkling droplet of fresh dew catching attention of a butterfly sipping it... raj..

this tugged at my heart unexpectedly

when american men write about their mums it is usually trite, sentimentalised crap. This is not about your biological mother, is it? If it is I feel a gulf of pain and loss. Truth. You, sir, are a poet. Frankly I expect a lot more from you and soon. You rode on L.o.v.e. for too long to be good for your ego. With a lot more reading and writing I think you could be a great poet. Cheers, Jess, Reprehensibly irrepressible
