against anything is to be at war

there are places
I have yet to walk
within the crystal raindrops
and tears
such separations of self
rain and these tears are never parted
they are mentioned in the phantom reasons
that clouds pass through, capturing the sun

nothing is so much falling again
that I forget to gather your
lilac scent before the butterflies of light
love's purity is a distant silence
beside me in your pillowed hair...
I sleep in the bed's pressed edge
of shadows and unheeded
repositories of truth.

I am not part of
these, too many eyes of round
planets, our galaxies pass within
one another

Love is our forever folded hands
walking in the rain.

You cast a spell on us Barry

Ann of Norway You cast a spell on us Barry, your words are so particularly placed as to striate our minds and plunge our dreams into your visions. "nothing is so much falling again
that I forget to gather your
lilac scent before the butterflies of light" I feel hastened to hold on to what is so ephemeral and beautiful in these lines, and it tugs at my feelings and fixes them right there, as the pin the butterfly in your collection. Love it Barry love you too brother, Ann.

Dear Barry

Melting at the knees, bud, lol. I think you have been excelling in leaps and bounds but these last two of yours, wow. Pleased to see your beautiful poetry return. We have missed you. Love is forever folded hands walking in the rain. What more to be said, beautiful. Love Lyz. XX

Barry...

This is extremely good poetry... quite beautiful in fact. The title is such a contradiction that it resonates, love and war... where would we be without the balance. thank you for sharing this with us

those moths of night that flutter in the dark

Ann of Norway This is the moth, those moths of night that flutter in the dark, their gentle colours palely grey and beige, brown, their soft bodies and their beautiful eyes, phantom-like they gather visions like the raindrops and reflect them to their loves visible to them even in the darkness, ah you spun a web so beautiful Barry, of silver drops to catch your moth and so gently caress its shape.
