Ladybird ( for yenti /Ian)

there is a little angry girl
she wears a bunch of heavy keys
guarding the door
night and day

know
if you knock too firmly
she will turn the key
a hundred times extra

if you knock gently
she will be embarrassed
but hopeful

please knock carefully

Thank you

Lovely little piece that reminds me of the Prioress in the Canterbury Tales, Not one droppy from her lippy falls cant rem the exact words as this was read to me 60 years ago in my school and it has always stuck in my mind somewhere, the lady with the keys who thought she controlled the souls that were under her care. I will knock so carefully little one, that it will sound like a whisper from the Angels, you have a lovely day, Yours Ian.T PS:- There was also a nun, a PRIORESS, head of a convent That of her smiling was full simple and coy. modest Her greatest oath was but by Saint Eloy And she was clepd Madame Eglantine. called Full well she sang the servic divine Entund in her nose full seemly. And French she spoke full fair and fetisly nicely After the school of Stratford at the Bow, For French of Paris was to her unknow. Her good manners At meat well y-taught was she withall: meals / indeed She let no morsel from her lipps fall, Nor wet her fingers in her sauc deep. Well could she carry a morsel and well keep handle That no drop ne fell upon her breast. So that In courtesy was set full much her lest: much her interest Her over lipp wipd she so clean upper lip That in her cup there was no farthing seen small stain

Thank You so much Ian. I

Thank You so much Ian. I love all those old stories and tales. The name for ladybird in swedish is nyckelpiga and it means the little maid with the keys. Yes I guess I was not very kind to you. Please do forgive me. love. o molly

so lightly rap and tap the big bold wooden door...

This write has a special feel about it, like a storybook that is open of which you can walk into and make you own decision to hammer the door or stroke the wood softly... the latter for me, for who would want to disturb the guardian girl and be forever locked in or out... What struck me in this one is you give the girl so much character in such a small paragraph, shows your great ability to create believable people and place you right there to expierence the scene! Great to reflect on characters such as this. Dale :)

Oh Molly...

Oh Molly... You are so nice to me and grace me with such benovolent praise that I am abashed... but my comment are certainly not better than your poetry or your magnificent writes... if I comment well it is simply because your brilliant writing inspired me to write such a review. Yes Molly, perhaps I should write a book but I ma not as special nor as talented as you are... so please perhaps you could consider write a book of your own? Maybe you could compile a volume of your short story fairytales about the Dragonking and the like? Now that would truly be awesome Molly! Go on do it, people will love it! Dale :)
