Queen Of The Forest Elves.

Dancing in the deep green of the forest,
Her home, her kingdom, her haven,

Eyes of ocean blue, hair the color of fire,
Her skin as white as milk.

Carefully she protects her forest,
All living things, like her own children.

Rejoices with the doe and her knew fawn,
Grieves with the fox whose litter did not make it.

She makes flowers bloom from her tears,
And they grow from her loving touch.

Her sweet voice sings a lulliby as night falls,
Peacefully her realm falls into dreams.

They will be safe, for she watches,
And watches, she will, throughtout the night.

Dear Green Eyes

I love your enchanted writings for they take me places magical. I had a little trouble with this line: All living things, like her own children. knew faun, should be new faun. otherwise I really loved and enjoyed this beautiful poem. Always, Cat

Ahh such a sweet melody...

Ahh now Green Eyes, This is a sweet, sweet poem that has a mellifluous melody that skips along in a child like canter... almost like they are a drift playing hopscotch with the forest kin... your pixie ears and twitching and you are a delightful emerald boon in jade glade of this woodland. You make the page come alive, like a nature elemental and dance with all living creatures in a whimisical wonderland. How lovely this is and all the above people are so right... children will love this one! Dale :)

Queen

What a sensitive presentation. Has the quality of a lullaby.
