Instinctive Truth

Instinctive Truth…

Do we take truth as the word of man,
or honest roar from wildest beast.
Will we ever hear the cry of lambs,
at a time of famine, or great feast.

Could we trust the defence of snakes,
or a dogs honest jaw around the wrist.
Is truth a frightened child who quakes,
at the scornful anger of an adult’s fist.

Why do we always say, it’s humane,
gladly hiding behind the word kind.
We’re not the ones who have pain,
an animal’s justice, is not that blind.

Let us not hide the truth behind avarice,
greed is a better word when, describing.
When men fail and turning in cowardice,
to reel from the real words then, imbibing.

So we should now only kill what we eat,
why must our feet always be best shorn.
And why must our truth always compete,
with our instinct we have when first born.

Very nice one here Roscoe

I also enjoyed this intellectual write of yours. I have read it twice now and something definetly in there that makes the words flow so well. Could it be the word truth perhaps, nice job. A good one and hope your doing fine swans and all. Love that photo. Love, Mona Learn to live, learn to forgive. Life is too short.

Thnak you,

Thank you, i am not going to say i'm an intellectual, but sometimes when i see so much wrong in the world caused by humans. I feel an animal like instinct to rid ourselves of this debri. Then i write and i feel calm again, Regards Roscoe.. PS, the Swans have eggs again this year.
