Favorite Poets: Favourite poets? So many, so varied. I like particular songs, not necessarily the singer... and the same goes for poetry. I can honestly say though, that Alfred Noyes' The Highwayman was what inspired my love of poetry - my mother began reading it to me when I was still a baby, and it became my favourite bedtime story

as a p,s, the word gestalt has been used twice in poems

here lately, but that last line, wouldn't gestalt sum it up better? I would ask Nina about it, she finds it kind of ordinary where with some of us it bespeaks a form of very gentle approach to psychotherapy. All just notes. No suggestions really. Cheers, Jess, Reprehensibly irrepressible

i guess i have a lot to live up to now - i think i have an inkling of what the Brownlow medalist feels like when he's out the next saturday playing the grand final - pressure !!!! i like gestalt, thanks was looking for the more precise that describes it best - forgot that one, was looking for another that i still can't get off the tongue do you think it would it spoil it if i made it 'I am more than the sum awake I comprehend gestalt' thanks very much for your attention jess. love judy

Dear Judy,

actually, I like Gestalt here very much. The definition of Gestalt (in the therapeutical sense) is: "das Formen eines sinnvollen Ganzen" (the building/crafting of a meaningful/reasonable whole), so it works really well here. For that additional line, have you thought about trying: ‘A spider somewhere i’m safe I am bitten i’m feeling the sting I am more than the sum i'm one I am awake I comprehend gestalt’ ? Yours, ~Nina

feel their steel trucks on the gaps worn like vowels and nouns whistling like inserted hyphens past coffee shop prophets and emerging night paradise owners lining up black seamed stockings on svelte cafe and strong thighs excellent flow style!!!! greatly enjoyed Esker~
