memory

do you remember
the winter morning
early
very early
still sunny
peace
intimacy

 

I came with coffee
freshly baked bread and cheese
strawberries with cream

 

do you remember how we smiled

 

’ yes I do remember
and I often think of it’

 

then for the first time
I understood
the weight
of every loving act

 

eternity perspective….

You made me smile so much Lyz because of brekky I guess it must be australian slang ( wonderful! ) Iam happy you felt peace because no feeling is more beautiful and sometimes I think we are just running through life without noticing. Oh molly...

Ah and oh Molly... I must get a picnic togtehr and visit your native Sweden after reading this, this is so sweet and tender with a wonderful gesture given and felt... make you smile so... because you portray it with such innocense and such giving in your heart that it is almost like you are offering out the bread, strawberries and coffee to every reader, so very you as you always give a little of yourself (actually a lot more than a little I thinK!) in these writes, and that really shines through here. Just one tiny thought here Molly... the very last line "eternity perspective" although this is sheer brilliance in display of your feelings and meaning, I think that perhaps "Eternal Perspective" might be better in signiture, read it and see what you think... only a suggestion! This really is such a lovely poem and come straight from your heart and spirit. Wonderful! Dale :)

I love your suggestion eternal perspective .. and as always your comment is sunshine. I just read your poem daybreak again and thought that these moments are probably the best and most loved moments in our life's because so many poets write about it.. the magic of dawn and love and all that comes with it..
