The Horizon, Ah!
The Horizon, Ah!
I woke up early this morn,
To find I was absolutely shorn
When I ultimately did find
I was very far behind.
I had yet to surface
Above the depths of strife,
Since I had yet to fathom
Extreme procrastinations of life.
For me it was no surprise
The horizon was yet
A seemingly distance away
I had an occasion
To continue in my inimitable way.
I stumbled to walk
Towards that far oblivion
Unexpectedly
it continued to move
Now in a totally different direction.
Still I hastened
But the destination
Though duskily dark
Was still at a sufficiently
distance, hark!
No matter how fast I did pace,
Further it moved in eternal space
I had to ponder on my track
Ere I’d resume,
hoping some day,
The distant vision would stay
Help me reach my ultimate
Elevation
gloriously some day.
