whale not James...
Whale not James,
Our friendly giant of the seas
a monster but your heart is great.
Will we ever end, the mad frenzy,
that puts your body on our plate.
We watched you tender at your calf,
and felt contentment in your motion.
I always feel compelled to laugh,
when people claim that it’s our ocean.
No harm you mean to man or kind,
watching you I feel, my heart at rest.
If nature had given us a lesser mind,
judged that you should have the best.
It is not yours we should fear the most.
But the greed of man at frenzied kill,
To slash and stab, intent to cut the cost.
their market, always has to have it’s fill
Your giant tail propels your mass,
through giant waves you easily glide.
The way you swim serenely past,
beauty that was never meant to hide.
Pray their mental radar finds for them,
a heart as big and soft as yours.
Let each and everyone now condemn,
they can use their boats, for scenic tours.
Giant with a gentle heart..
