Seeking Happiness

Kind sir

Please direct me

 On the road of happiness

I was told that it’s easy to find

Do you know where it may be

If so please let me know?

Weary from the travelling

I doubt if I  can make it

  Through the night

   Sir I beg of you

    To show me the land

      Of eternal glee

  What, it doesn’t exist

 Surely, you must be wrong

There must be an explanation

In the town of agony

One told me to find happiness

He said the villagers would guide me

    How can it be

  That joy lives within

  Am I that blind

  To have not noticed

  Such pleasure

Paul

I like the idea, Paul. It appears that you composed it in a hurry. I wonder if you in fact did? You might have better luck typing your poems in :) I know you are very busy but you need to take time out to write when the muse is with you. Respectfully, Mark Resilient Flexibility

who is "kind sir"?

the title sucks. cliche only suggestion is to bring it back to the village of wisdom life. Seeking happiness is like pinning butterflies. Cheers, Jess, “The political arena leaves one no alternative, one must either be a dunce or a rogue.” Emma Goldman
