Falling Pleasure

We as a race have always sought for one thing,

And that is pleasure,

From birth we are hedonists,

Seeking a comfort, a joy, a thrill,

From a house comfort,

To a life risking jump,

We are falling,

Our need for pleasure is instinctual,

But is continuously denied,

We corrupt it,

Manipulate it,

And exploit it,

For one man's pleasure,

Can be another man's torment,

We are still falling,

My words written here come from joy,

To express myself in ink form,

Whether or they are wrong,

To write this is my only call,

I revel in this,

If it hurts don't say,

This is my pleasure,

My comfort,

You can't rip it away,

This is me,

I am a fallen,

Everyday, all around,

This world is falling,

This good balanced with the bad,

Charity with greed,

Salvation with damnation,

It does not stop,

It is eternal,

As a race we are falling,

When individually...

We have already fallen.
