Somewhere

Somewhere
ears know
a silent peace
cadence delights

Somewhere
smiles run free
easy and light
unfettered

Somewhere
eyes roam beauty
engage gasps
adore the night

Somewhere is not here

— Seren, Mar 23, 2010

Somewhere is always here…

Somewhere is always here... either in physicality or imagination. Imagine deep enough and a universe is being created. Love, Mummy Words must be used like stepping stones: lightly and with nimbleness, because if you step on them too heavily, you incur the danger of falling into the intellectual mire of logic and reason. - Balsekar

Beautiful Jayne. Sounds

Beautiful Jayne. Sounds like I've been there and back and found something. Maybe not what I was looking for, but something is better than nothing and these few words paint a much larger picture. Rosina xena465

Aware of the somewhere.

Some-where-ness:- "The humbler ones concept of beauty,  the more likely one is to find it"  John Clare. apropos the above:- " I love the muse who sits her down  Upon the molehills little lap  Who feels no fear to stain her gown   And pauses by the hedgerow gap"   ( The Flitting) John Clare ** ** ** ** ** Those who seek fame and profit Little know the peace of the hills. Morning and evening the clear air blows Between heaven and earth my life exists, My lungs expand, my body functions at ease. If I think of other places nowhere attracts, If I think of this place nowhere distracts,            The moon waxes full            The pure winds blow. Kenzan and his tradition. Bernard Leach. "A Potter's Book" This is close to what I want to say to this poem, I love it Jayne, dear you in your old papers come thoughts that are precious moments here and now. My love to you from Ann

I was a lyracist before I was a poet so I guess I was always in training lol but my creativity ... wow since ive been here its like someone planted seeds of poetry ... and now they flourish no matter the season ... I found this old old old diary one I wrote in about important events ... births deaths and marriage ... and usually I would jot something in the margin next to it ... like a memory ... I ahve one page of births and there is miniscule writing in the margin I have been decyphering it a little last night and I maybe get a couple more poems out of it ... thanks for the wonderful comment sorry for the ramble love and higgliest bugs Jayne-Chloe x x x

Excellent in every respect but the last line.

I would delete it or find something with more oomph, it's a bit plaintive. Cheers, Jess, Screw copyright, my poetry belongs to the world, no charge, property is theft. But an acknowledgment might be nice.

wordsmith genius

I just can't keep up with you doll... I love the sounds the words make...and even back then you had a special talent for wordplay. I always get to your poems too late to say anything that doesn't sound like a rehash of others thoughts! Just lovely...(sigh) Ells x

smiles

Daer S., I read it, and I smiled because I thought you were making light. Then I read the comments from everyone, and I thought I missed something. So, I read it again, and it still made me smile. I like it just the way it is. I love the play on the word cadence, and the way you bring it all together in the end. P.
