For Marcia

In paying a tribute to this woman
there are many factors to consider,
firstly...we were honored to share in her life;

she was a companion, drove a taxi,
was a daughter, and a mother,
a nurse, a teacher, and also, someone's wife.

She shared with us her passions,
her emotions, and her insights,
with a spirit sent down from the heavens, above;

she let be known her sorrows,
her joys, and preferences,
but most of all, she shared with us her love.

She's gone to join the "Wickman"
whom also left, too soon
so forever, she will have all that she needs;

of all the things that she's collected
she also claimed our hearts,
while white-knuckling through her life at lightening speeds.

She's gone now, and we'll miss her
she enriched our lives, so much
but, her presence in our hearts didn't quite end;

she's gone to her "forever",
but, her legacy continues on
and we're honored Marcia chose to call us, "friend".
