A BEAUTIFUL DAY HAS JUST BEGUN

Good morning coffee, good morning sun,

A beautiful day has just begun.

The birds are all singing their cheerful tune,

I’m still half awake, shall awaken real soon.

Up with my coffee, up with the sun,

A shining new day has just begun.

My pad and my pen again in my hand,

Together we meet once again.

My heart is a joy to share all the love,

My pen in my hand and my God up above. 
 

I woke up this morning, a new day has begun,

I hear the birds singing together as one.

The sun is a rising , what a glorious sight,

I have my sweet coffee and all is all right.

A new day has come with much to be done,

With pen in my hand, I look towards the sun. 

The beauty around me so still and so sweet,

My pen in my hand together we meet.
 

I write of the love I feel in my heart,

My pen and my pad, what a wonderful start.

Thank you oh Lord for all you have given,

The love in my heart shall keep on living.

Good morning coffee, Good morning sun,

A beautiful day has just begun.

Your visit to one of my first poems ever written. Saturday morning was always in my zone at 7:00 am and now I write all times of the day but still the best I wrote was always Sat, morns for some reason. I am glad you liked it so. Love, Mona

Beautiful video

When I watched this beautiful utube video I was reminded of the days when this song was out and my brother playing his guitar and singing it. And then of course high school days, thank you for sending me this I just loved the pictures also and yes I guess you could say it has a resemblance to my poem. So glad you liked it. Thank you. listen to Jayne, centered poetry looks nice

but doesn't read well off the page, ungenerous to your reader. I did get a frisson of pleasure reading this, thankyou. One serious crit. The word "beautiful" is almost useless in poetry, there is always a better word. Please think about it. You use it 5 times, plus beauty. Cheers, Jess, reprehensibly irrepressible

Elf I tweaked it

Up a bit and probably have to come back and do some more. yes I know about the alignment as I posted it last night and knew I needed to come back and fix her up. I changed some of the beautiful words but then again the poem is A beautiful day has begun.. I may use the phrase a little too repeticuosly sometimes that is why I am going back on all my old poems to fix them up. I noticed that in the first ones head on I was repeating myself too much and thank you for the visit Elf and next time smile in the pic as you look like your gonna jump out from underneath that couch and get me. LOL...How is the chat going, been awhile since I have had anytime to go there. Life just too busy... Thanks again. Mona

This one should be sung

Ann of Norway Definitely sung as the repetitions are the refrains and you make us feel happy I can hear your birds singing it too Mona. Love Ann in the mist.

The sun was a rising, the coffee pot churning and yes the birds singing their tunes that morning. I can remember it like yesterday and my pad and pen in hand, my newfound friend. A lovely positive poem, your alot more optimistic about the day ahead than I, haha. Just a little concern though, maybe you could find a few different ways of describing beauty. But as always a good job.
