Enjoy your crackers

Dry and brittleThe quincentennial British biscuitOf aged crumbling togethernessWhen system overloadAllows no spice in lifeNo oriental influences“Have another cracker dear” Face the shuffled daysAnd  the frigid nights ofTormented what could have beenFor the sake of another cracker But you are togetherNeutral territoryFor the boys to sometimes visitThey have stopped slipping youColourful treatsLeaving you to your feast of crackers. The cycle goes onThey fear deathBecause they see living death in your lifeThey see it in your plate of crackers.

What there was cheese too?

Nice reply poem to poem but what does it mean ! remember that Irish Soda bread is made with soured milk. Is there not conflict in the use of laconic and Irish Navvy or are we talking juxraposition here? Sorry to hear you are ill but that's what you get for eating a crash diet of Soda bread. Stick to the crackers, they are far more reliable. The Ballad of the water biscuit has been done for me. Seabhac

Complexity, love the use of

Complexity, love the use of the dry biscuits. Clever utilization of this in describing an aging relationship and the view from the children in the ending. raskin
