EAU DE VIE

Looking at you in the
restaurant I'm reminded that
I like to
           drink you,

First the eyes-dancing amber
and flashes of tiger.
Then the lips,
full and
             inviting.

Just signals to the start
of the sport to come.

The fork of food is used like
Poseidon's tool-thrusting into
the depths of pleasure
beyond beyond
                           imagination.

My tongue on your fork
of food-moistens and caresses.
I leave the table.

Returning, I stroke your hand
like a snail leaving trails.
You smile and hold your hand
to
    smell mine.

My gift is like the smell
of earth-primeval and truthful.
Your pleasure is
                              breached.

Your wise smile is a countdown
to the cut & thrust of our sport.

Later, in your arms, I'm
                                        awash
with the pool of
pleasure around me.

I swim in you. on you
under you and drink your
                                            Eau de vie...

The smoke of peat and the glow of amber barley..

Now!Whiskey being my one and only favourite tipple and not being that much of a connoisseur of the amber water of life I felt the simile was so flattering to you partner that felt a little envious! How lovely to be compared to a fine Highland malt ( although there are some good Taiwanese whiskies now lol). A gastronomic breakdown of a partner as a meal to be forked and forked , funny, gently amorous and this side of tasteful! Good write. Kal

First of all, I love the

First of all, I love the construction of it. I follow the steps of the words and their dance and play and I hear the light clink of glasses and silverware and the soft mumble of conversation and the occasional giggle. On top of that, the seduction is classic yet strong. This is a wonderful write Ells. Water of life indeed. Best, Nathaniel
