Seasons

Flowers and leaves

falling

from the family tree.

As seasons come and go

more kin

drift away on soft winds,

free to float through timelessness

leaving new springs and summers

for those left behind

to wander

and wonder.

And as the tree

keeps spreading,

sprouting new growth every year,

joy mixes with sorrow,

greetings and partings entwine.

The branches gnarl

as lessons are learned

and buds bloom

while knowledge is gained,

‘til finally new foliage is old

and spring again fades to winter.

Favorite Poets: Favourite poets? So many, so varied. I like particular songs, not necessarily the singer... and the same goes for poetry. I can honestly say though, that Alfred Noyes' The Highwayman was what inspired my love of poetry - my mother began reading it to me when I was still a baby, and it became my favourite bedtime story

This leaf of your heart I shall press

Ann of Norway This leaf of your heart I shall press and keep and look at when I need, so lovely, so gently retrospective, I can see the memories hovering in your mind judyanne helping you to write this one, they were all there with you as you did, don't you think? Love Ann

Dear Judy

It happens to all of us, the joys and the sorrows, the births and the deaths... time flows forward without a glitch and sweeps us all away. I loved the gentleness of this serious piece. Always, Cat

Yes even like the fallen

Yes even like the fallen leaf we all fall one day, but the naked branch grows a new leaf. Just like when we die, a new baby is born. Very nice Judy. Rosina xena465
