i'm running out of thoughts

there are frozen drops of light
hanging on my Japanese maple
little lanterns of thoughts
beguile me,
in my downfall
I flesh
out words that make you real

but you are a just a man,
and I am Eve under ancient spell
my hooded eyes
can barely stand the light you shine
when you enter me on the third day
and raise me with your healing hands
from the blackness of other lives, other loves
and other seas,
you have speared my heart,
you have broken my heart-cage
and let the songbird free.

Denied safe passage to heaven,
I was waiting for a God to write a poem,

I wipe your Jesus-face with my last veil,
we both bleed.

Indy, Good morning, and

Indy, Good morning, and thanks for reading... my early poems were very much replete with my Catholic background, though interfaced with my subsequent meanderings. Love, Anna "A poem is never finished, only abandoned." ~ Paul Valery

on the third day, arising

After thought, when stillness prevails, comes enlightenment. After Kali passes, rebirth follows. Your metaphors are apt, then, as Jesus also died and was reborn. But then he ascended to Heaven, didn't he?

That too is a metaphor… it

That too is a metaphor... it is the bane of humanity to create a heaven somewhere after death... leading to all types of inhuman behaviour in seeking out the dogma to... Heaven is here and now or never was and never will be. We each create it or not. The garden is our responsibility. Love, Anna "A poem is never finished, only abandoned." ~ Paul Valery

Strange. I thought I posted

Strange. I thought I posted a reply, saying that Barry sang that song to me a couple of days ago. Imo, the entire spectrum of humanity can be found in that book, in that play, in that music. Love to my Aussie family, mum "To love another person is to see the face of God." Les Miserables

I love that song from “Le

I love that song from "Le Mis" Jayne. Another expression of spirituality interwoven with deep passion. I really like the first stanza: "there are frozen drops of light hanging on my Japanese maple little lanterns of thoughts beguile me, in my downfall I flesh out words that make you real" Artfully done. Beautifully depicted Anna

Ann of Norway Oh those frozen tears, they hang and see, reflecting you and me and all there is, the universe will be, and out of this comes man, reality for us who seek the essences of our visions, explained. You walk with us all, and we wipe our blood and pain from us but have no answer to the creeds and myths before us. A special one Anna, love from your sister in the garden.
