DON'T THINK OF ME

Don't think of me in a darkened way
Just think of me for I'd like to say
Don't think of me as a doubter of faith

Just  think of me, a woman of grace
 I am who I am, the best I can be
For you see  I have the sun shining on me
I am who I've become, the one with a smile
Spend all my days, lovely and worthwhile

Don't think of me in a mediocre light
Just think of me, a life so bright
Don't think of me with distrust and discern
Just think of me for you may learn

I am who I am, and that's all there is
All a part of me is love that I give
I am only me, a speck on this earth
Was graced with love beginning with birth

Don't think of me and decide to run
Just think of me and how I've begun
Don't think of me and ask me why
Just think of me, I have no reason to lie
 I am who I am, and that's all I can be
I love all of life, it's beauty I see
I am who I am, remember me this way
I love my life and for all I do pray.

Yes this one with eyes half closed for lack of sleep

This for rhyme and meter is nearly perfect ... I would change only one thing .... the do before pray at the very end of the last line ... I pray gives it a softer feel for me love Jayne-Chloe x x x

You know how many times I changed that last line and so good for you to feel it and catch that for me again, I did change it and thanks so much for the feedback I do appreciate that very much. So glad you came along with that sweet sounding song Harveyand how are you doing. I am happy you liked this one too. I haer the sparrows out there singing this morning this sunny bright morning Sunday. Now I have to go make my meatballs and sausage for the restaurant as they want to taste them and no way they will get the family recipe. My grandmother was from Italy and she knew how to cook a pinch of this a pinch of that and low and behold the meatballs from heaven. LOl Thank you for stopping by sir Harvey. I appreciate that as I sit here reflecting on a friend we lost last night to a love lost of his, and what a beautiful person he was. I am saddened this day and just wrote a poem of him just as I woke up this morning as I got the call late last night. If you have a chance please go read it, my friend, miss talking with ya.
