elements
you are far,
as a lost letter
there is silence
where the elements join
the earth and sea
stretch over me
wear me thin as air
a garment
thin as a fish birds neck
the hunter
swallowing a beggar
a dinner of vagrant tomorrow's
thin like a worn stone
skipped on water
I sink in seas
I am no navigator
until your voice
the rain had become fatherless
and the muddied boot
the foots orphan
when you spoke
the fruit tree budded
with bowls of clouds
succulents sweet with sun
the belled jewels of your heart
and the grass Shepard's of your feet
remembered me in the dark
at the edge of the oak wood
in the lost hour
poured together
the sky is thick with us
we are heard in the call of a wild loon
