OH THE SPARROW FLYS

Half way round the world the sparrow flysLittle feathering wings they fly so highLight and mighty their softened feathersFly around the world, in all kinds of weather
 One or two land in it's own space
Swiftly fleeting, scurrying it's grace
Oh sparrow bird fly, you fly so highOnce the  baby bird, never knew how to fly

Became the flock of so many feathers
Upon thee rests and never teetersSparrow birds how lovely are thee
Bringing peace to shine upon you and me

Free as all birds they may fly out to seaFrom rivers to banks and back to thee
Oh sparrow you come in all sizes and shapes
Sparrow hawks to hover across the lakes

Oh sparrow birds fly free, with your gentle ease
Always aoaring with an almighty breezeFly sparrows fly, high up in the blissful sky
Forever fleeting lowly, forever soaring high.

Yikes I counted twenty lines no??

THank you gal as I sit here eyes blurrying so tired. I did count 20 lines is it not right and thank you I just made this one as I sat here just this last half hour. Love Mona Learn to live, learn to forgive. Life is too short.

Kal that’s a terribly sad

Kal that's a terribly sad story you just told us. poor sparrows. love the sound of yours though. sound like some of the magpies that come to my back door for scraps, and reminds me of the budgie my father had that used to sit on his glass and help him down his beer. lol judy

Very inspirational...

I found this to be a very inspirational quality piece. I really enjoyed this highly impressive write. So very visual, you chose your words so very well in this, delivering both emotion, and great visual imagery. So nice to see you grace my page here and I am happy you liked it. I did this one rather quickly without alot of thinking but that is how it came out and yes I always seem to pen with the inspirational poetry as that is what I am known for, so glad you liked it and thank you for all the shining stars up ahead. Someone else said something along the same line as you of a song lyric, hmmmmm amazing observations here and I was thinking lately along just those lines, Amazing what some true friends bring to the poem and how they reach the same feelings or observations as I so myself. I guess you could say we are in sync and I like how you think!!! Thank you so much for the comments.
