Big Top Lovers,

    Big Top Lovers....

Was this the great heart trained by circus clown,
 always falling in circled tent,
 all dreams on hold.
But now the gorging on music performer,
 loving ripples clear for rent,
 one is now ever bold.

No more the frowning clod, big shoed fool,
champ will collect prize,
shine nails on chest,
Wondering why he never chanced before,
fears of bumpy road not realised,
onward to the conquest.

Looking back we find the mistaken gazes skyward,
but the mind is deceiver,
pied piper's always played.
Stange how reckless we become toward.,
a bit part fit for any believer,
swoon once then swayed.

To a dazed freind we'll race like happy child,
if candy is on offer,
sweet tooth winning again.
Hurting bad now as we always knew,
simple conclusions develop,
this is  love that can't remain.

Where was their applause for a tumbling fool,
when first our paths did cross,
see etchings now discarded.
Punch drunk like boxer finding corner stool,
resting when in adversity,
both schools of thought are retarded.
