Life's A Mirage
LIFE'S A MIRAGE
As I move around
In a solitary confinement
Life’s desire seems to confront me.
I move towards a newer destination
Success still seems to elude me.
Moving on in the desert of life
I visualise hopes of many oases
But as I move much closer
Towards these springs of water
The mirage of life moves farther.
What is life but an illusion?
Each one views it
In ones own inimitable way.
What’s the imaginary vision?
That comes up by ones’ path way?
I see the distant horizon
And in gleeful imagination
As I move closer
The hallucination moves further.
Life’s a total unsolved mystery
What this optical illusion is to a desert,
That’s a real hope for me.
This vision in my life
Is an oasis of salvation?
I have still to cope
With many a vast horizon
No matter how further
The illusion moves away
I shall capture it some day.
