Drizzle omnipotent

Slumber Inn
is bathing
in hot summer sunshine

and begonias are nodding
in the wind that rushs
through the grass at the valley
lip

the verndah empty with
story chairs faded in their
enamel coats

gardens of tethered fantasia
trellis portico
and empty steps
reaching down to the manicure
of lawn

forgotten motorcars gleam
like dead predatory beasts
out past the fenceline
bent and needing of keep

the radio is playing in the kitchen
and a fire murmurs to itself
in the cookstove

the eyes of the house look
through lace curtian edging
there are rains
smell this
swept up from the dark cedar
balsam flats
the moss thick glade
before meadow runs
dead tamarack ruin

the fly buzzes against the glass
and the first foar off drone
of thunder
sounds hesitant

the garden waits for its replenishment

i haven’t read one like

i haven't read one like this from you before such care taken with setting the scene...with showing the reader what you see i like that you didn't hurry to your conclusion...rather, you meandered there, showing us the house and its surrounds along the way this made me think of old homesteads stumbled across on wanders through country-side i didn't wonder about the occupants, as the house was the living thing "the fly buzzes against the glass and the first foar off drone of thunder sounds hesitant the garden waits for its replenishment the perfect ending...house, garden, nature, all part of the picture and picture this is...your pen is a brush p.

was the hurdle

going too fast and waving was the final thing before I fell and the shoulder cracked apart like wolves breaking for marrow in their feasts Jump to the fenceline and looking down through the park like trees to the gravel pit the edge of Northern Ontario the hospital brickand coldly beautiful where they wait for my appointed return i lay on he bed in clothes not even having a blanket so wiped out i cannot take so much having never learned balance there is breaking points fracture moments like the flash going off and capturing Norma Jean and I the smiles are genuine such a long time ago to meet a sister
