Give me wings...

My heart leaps to the surface like a dolphin
when I hear from you
like a breath of fresh air
sustaining me.

No sooner than you fill me
I am overcome
by the fact
that I have not wings.

That I may remain in flight
to sing you a love song.

So I fall...

Back into the tears
which continue to fill my world
and I sink
ever so fast.

Screaming into each bubble that rises
all those words
I never said at the right time
hoping they find your ears.

Alone back among the depths
I cry, but none can see
and I pray....

next time I find the strength
please God, give me wings.

Great poem

It was really strange to me or a wonder may I say that I was reading your lovely poem and your picture changed mid stream I dont think that has ever happened on here for me at least not until just now. I love the softness of your poem and the message you send with it. I have only been on here since October 2009 only been writing since September 2009 so I stumbled upon you this evening as if someone pointed this one at me. You got a lot of compelling writing behind you so I encourage you to get back into it and let it happen, I am in Florida and you are from where Mr. Mark and nice to meet you also. Magics02

You got the feeling alright. mmm, something feels profoundly different from your earlier writes, can't quite place it, you feel more present in your words somehow. Something different, maybe it's sobriety, or afflictions, or geographical location, could be longing, or humility....or maybe just simply time, but I like to think and I am quite confident that it is Christ, and His Spirit which is alive in me that is PROFOUNDLY different. yes I am a little bit everything, I can hop on my harley and ride or put on the boots and go to a rodeo... either way chaps and leather are a big part...lol. Good to see you, Mark
