Cats and dogs

These things don't want to be found!

At least not now. At least not by us.

Not our choice, we are the dawn. Now,

Come and stay to see who wakes first,

We've got it rehearsed; To know is to

Love. How? To kiss is to speak, and

Touch is for keeps, the world's a bad

Mom,- it helps if you're young, ha!

Throw it on the pyre, and ponder; Art

Imitates life, or is it the other way

Round? - anyway, we've found it!

Pretend to make believe and you're

Free, we, like Alcestis and that king,

Grown enough to know that love is

Young,- or the other way around!

So, flick two pennies into a pond, and

The one that hits the bottom first gets

To toast,- Love conquers death, yes,

Therefore love is death, and a cat is

A dog.

And the earth cries for these birds

While an old Greek turns and yawns

At least that is in my most humble opinion but an opinion nontheless. Really liked it alot. Different and delicately divine Loved this part the best........... Not our choice, we are the dawn. Now, Come and stay to see who wakes first, We’ve got it rehearsed; To know is to Love. How? To kiss is to speak, and Touch is for keeps, Just brilliant doorman.. Love, magics02 xooxox

Dear Espen

I loved the same stanza as Mona but there were a couple of places I believe could be improved ... sooooo I will be back tonight with a pocketful of suggestions ... ignore at your leisure, take what you need love and hugs Jayne-Chloe x x x

Oh Espen!

I love everything except the absurdity of "a cat is a dog"! How in all poetic liberties did you get to that? To me it diminshes the intensity of "To toast,- Love conquers death, yes, Therefore love is death..." HOLD IT RIGHT THERE! Your Honour - I rest my case and unless you can prove otherwise, my jury is certainly out! Thanks Boni
