Sparrow's Spell

Sparrow's Spell

dull drab feathers
of small sparrows
undersized unimportant
seemingly so
sweet songbirds
of symphonic serenade
overlooked by the oblivious
too many to mention

Hello Troy

Sparrows are the focal point of this months contest on Neo. But I did enjoy writing about them. I even learned a thing or two as I looked them up in order to be informed. LOL, I think Mark can hold his own. Thanks for reading. Always, Cat

Hi Ziggy

I think it says up to twenty lines, five of which must have alliteration. That means the poem must be at least five lines and you may have as many as twenty lines. Good luck with yours. I will keep an eye out for it. Always, Cat

Cat, This Is Beautiful

Cat, this is beautiful. I liked these lines a lot; "overlooked by the oblivious too many to mention" Deep insight in these short lines... Sincerely, Wafi "Culture, location and beliefs; All vanish with love!" ~Afzal Shauq~

When they sing

it is because a soul has been released from "the guff" (the hall of souls) and they can see it descending form heaven to fill a newborn. (from the seventh sign) The smaller form is so fitting for the tiny singer. Unimportant to many I think too but not so to me, just a bit insignificant in looks (deceiving) Mark FlexAbilities

Hello Mark

Long time no see. Ah, but it is good to see you now. "The Seventh Sign" I haven't thought of that movie in years. I guess it is time to dust it off and rewatch it. Thank you for the read and comment. Always, Cat
