WHY OH WHY

Why is there so much hate
Why not enough of love
Too much of the bashing
Ranting and rehashing

So much despair, much discord
Why oh why, please help us dear Lord
Lift our ways to a brighter tomorrow
Capture the love, lessen it's sorrow

Our world's in a mess
Will it ever survive
Some learn to live
Some learn to die

Lead us the way towards the light
Share the peace of a quiet night
Shine your love all over with grace
Forever, see the love upon your face

Share some respect for one another
For we are one, a sister, a brother
Lead us to mend our mindless ways
Help us to be stronger in all our days

Forgive our debtors, for we forgive them
Why oh why, we plead to no end
For we not always hear a different call
Let's pray to become one, one and for all...

Freewill!

It's a beautiful prayer and it would be great if this prayer was answered! They say that God has granted us free will and it's that free will that determines our actions (i.e., we are free to determine how we will behave)-- perhaps that's why there is so little devine intervention.

I am glad you did not take this as an offensive to your beliefs as you know I do not intend for anyone to feel the way I do. I am spiritual much so and have great faith in the Being the I AM, so I am happy you at least understand my message to try to gather together as one instead of always in separation. I never take offense to

I never take offense to anything, especially, when it comes to religious/spiritual beliefs. We each have our own path we must follow, and what "feels" right to us. Hello friend

Some people believe in a higher power, and whatever one believes is their choice alone, not for others to judge them by their personal beliefs. Everyone may call it something different and then there are those who don't believe and that is fine with the world, No one here is trying to put religion or anything else ahead of anyone else or anything else. Your beliefs are your alone and on the other hand not for someone to use your belief as an outright dogma against them. Therefore I write of which I love and respect and I do believe. Without having any belief in my life would be a sorry way to live, therefore I find it a personal matter and not one to be judged by or argued with. This does not give any person the right to go around and call people Jesus Freaks, and whatever else they choose to call one another. I am a believer of life, love and the pursuit of happiness how I get there only HE knows as I know no other way to live. When we talk about our Indian spirits I am also a firm believer of that also. We still are all ONE in being with HIM.(or she which ever one chooses) Mona does not make that choice to no one as everyone is their own being and has their own special means of prayer. Hello Magics02. You ask a heart felt question! Here is a quick answer - you should see the long one! Adam and Eve chose a path of independance from God. since then "man has dominated man to his injury." As a result the world is "in a mess." Will God be pro-active and help mankind out of this mess? Yes. We are asking for God to intervene in mankinds affairs when we say "Thy kingdom come." What is that Kingdom? It is God's government, When will God's government come? Read what the disciple Matthew says in the book of Matthew chapter 24. In the meantime, while we are waiting for God's kingdom to come, ( which will be a permanent solution to mankinds problems. ) we can all do the things you so elequently pray for in the last three stanzas of your poem, for we are "one, a sister, a brother." Really that is all that God wants from us is to love him and one another. Just a quick answer, but it is for you to decide.

We can only listen to our own drums Annie we shall not concern ourselves with others as they dance to a different drum and that is good also. We are not here on this earth to make an enemy of man, we are here to love one another regardless of race, belief, gender. ..impressive (to me) because

..impressive (to me) because it makes people realize..more over, reflect on why we do things..either to make ourselves feel more superior and others inferior? or to do something that would benefit not just ourselves but everything that surrounds us.. ..by asking the question "WHY?", we seldom overlook the answer which we could actually find within us.. confusing?! ;) that's not my intention, just reflecting.. "Everything happens for a reason, not by chance but by choice!" love you too, hugs & kisses!

We do not have all the answers in life, unfortunetly we don't. I just always try to keep a postive attitude and do the best we can and have heartfelt feelings to all mankind even those who persecute us. I have always been good to people in my life since that is the only way I was taught from my elders and the only way I feel it is so right to do. Make people laugh and feel happy the best way we can for our life is too short and we never know from day to day what will be. We can only pray to our higher power and know that we are loved one and all. There is no hate where I am from only love.
