Don't Look Away

No, your eyes have not failed you

I am the one you once knew

 Don’t look away in shame

You said I was incapable

Of being my own man

 I actually applaud you

You paved my way

To all I have accomplished

Don’t feel bad for what you said

Only know that you were wrong

Endlessly doubting myself

To appease your ideologies

On and off pills of pleasure

Just because I believed in you

Why was I blaming God ?

It was you who stranded me

Left me on the cold concrete

   Hoping I would lose faith

Why, so I could be like you?

   Running from himself daily

Because the challenge was to great

Or was it hurting you that I was strong

Even after you left me for dead

Wow Paul

This is a very emotional write may I say and was so close to truth, it doesn't get any better than that does it? A very strong poem in which I found some of my own emotions in this write. Really good and sound material. Magnifico Paul Magics02 xxoxox Learn to live, learn to forgive. Life is too short.
