Meet My Ex
Hold me close, Attempt sleep and cry.
Kiss me like it’ll be your last, Became a zombie,Devour me, Didn’t meet my own friends eyes,Because soon you’ll have to fast. Got trapped in the stories,The word faithful, Got caught up in the lies.It seems so loosely used, Yes, I am fine,Especially after you, I said I’m okay,And your emotional abuse. Said goodbye to another friend,You swore at me, Whom I let you push away. You messed with my head, Let you access my account,You rid of my friends, Take my hard earned pay,Almost left me for dead. I was supporting you,The car, what happened? Yet you still took my independence away. Two wheels on its side, I broke down,Into a tree, Turned to the one person left,Silence, shock, I didn’t cry. Begged my Mum to help me,The gas it swirled, To sort out this mess.It choked up my lungs, I left while you were at your mates,Said I couldn’t leave you, Drunk and stoned,Said I was the one. Not sure you even noticed,I still didn’t see it, Until you saw dinner not on the stove. The threats you gave my friends, You put your fist into my birdcage,One was gay, harmless, My bird had a go at you, I should’ve stopped it then. Even she felt betrayed,Yet I stayed, And she was partly raised by you.No idea why,
Thought I couldn't escape,
