Out of Touch
It had been a while
Since they talked
Her unexplainable distance
Caused him to doubt
If he only knew
How she felt
The dizziness
That took her over
Almost too much to bare
How would she tell him?
Would he still be there?
Sleepless nights
A decision to be made
New life was precious
Not to be thrown away
Something to look forward to
Yet still afraid
What would they say?
Would anyone be glad?
Or just find a way
To make her sad
The past still hovers
Like a reaper calling
The dead
Would it stop her cold
Or could she take this little blessing
And move on?
Since they talked
Her unexplainable distance
Caused him to doubt
If he only knew
How she felt
The dizziness
That took her over
Almost too much to bare
How would she tell him?
Would he still be there?
Sleepless nights
A decision to be made
New life was precious
Not to be thrown away
Something to look forward to
Yet still afraid
What would they say?
Would anyone be glad?
Or just find a way
To make her sad
The past still hovers
Like a reaper calling
The dead
Would it stop her cold
Or could she take this little blessing
And move on?
