If looks Could kill

Sure, it's a ways off in the distance
it's probably more than we can see,

because our "seeing" is but a function
where "looking", defines you and me.

Like when we think we can hear each other
it's the debate team, and pep rally, combined;

add the drama club, and psychology team,
"clouded issues", is all you'll find.

No one really listens, anymore
they don't "look" at what they, "see",

their vision lacks true focus
blinded, by their own decree !

Folks "hear" when they should be listening
they "see", when they aught to take a "look",

they "talk", without trying to communicate
and then "trust", as if their rival crooks !

I apologize for their unsettling density
eloquence, is not one of their charms,

you'd understand, if you'd sit down and "talk" to them,
if you could do so, without setting off any alarms !

Last night, I happened to realize
that we're helpless, in this regard;

we have the ability to help our fellow man,
lack of communication, is what makes it, "hard".
