" KEEPING YOUTH"
Look at me! can you see whats happened to me? Neither can i.
I sit here, and watch life go by wondering why.
But i know i must change my ways.
Im not who i once was,but i see the same face in the mirror.
Except my eyes see thing's they do not recognize.
The windows to my soul are confused and wondering where i've gone.
But slowly i make my way back,One day at a time.
Finding myself again.
I miss the wonder, and excitement for life that i once had.As all children do.
But even in my time of growin old,I must keep my inner child alive.
We all must keep that child within us!
It's sad to see someone that has forgotten they were a kid once.
Seems adulthood create's that kind of strain on our souls sometimes.
Reality is a bitch that way,i suppose. But we must never abandon our inner child.
Something tells me it keeps our happiness in place and our minds open.
Even in tough and uncertain times.
But i guess it's up to you,to decide what your inner child means to you?
