fragile

.

the pale dawn casts me in pastels
and I find I like the fragility
of the delicate hues

I like the way my skin looks-

   muted

   lucent

a studied contrast
against vibrant hands
that trace my contours

one electric finger at a time

across my brow
my lips,
my shimmering emotions

I like the smell of my skin
after the press of yours

I like how it holds your scent

and how,
hours after loving,
your whispered words
echo still.

Delicious sensual write, I know these sensations & love how you

Delicious sensual write, I know these sensations & love how you have painted them in words, captured so clearly, so dreamily, so lasciviously. Every now & then your name comes to my inbox, but I have so little time for computer life (my other life has weighty pull for some time)... I am so glad to have made the time to search you out... I feel like you write my heart, every time I read you, only so muc more eloquently... sorry if it sound self centred, it's just true. You write beautifully even if I didn't feel that way, the skill & beauty of your poems stands. Hope all is good, a pleasure to find you. Cheers Anni~ "Three passions have governed my life: The longings for love, the search for knowledge, And unbearable pity for the suffering of [humankind]." Bertrand Russell

ahh anni...always such a fuzzy feeling when i see your name. the no time thingy?...i know exctly what you mean. i find myself just popping in and quickly out of neo, as life is so busy lately. i always visit 2 pages when i come here...yours and orgami's...i just never have the time to write a decent review! when things settle down, i'll be much more able to languish in your poetry. your words here are so kind anni...i just lap up your praise! hope all is well and happy with you in your beautiful neck of the woods...i haven't been to daylesford for over a year...i'm waaaaay overdue for my week-end away...the convent gallery is one of my most favourite places to wander through...i could spend the entire day there...*sigh
