waterfall

your song speaks as water moving
into my rooted green fingers
as a boundless caressing ache of waterfalls
surrounds my dream of your solitude

and flowers have tried to find you
with in their momentary colors i have  searched
but they can only point the way
upward to strangers reaching

and I am thirsty for your falling love
cascading amidst estranged escarpments of stone
of opposing granite stumbles
from heavens to valleys below

your body within such pristine shattered Crystalline moments
eludes the messengers I send
I cannot touch your dream
of lush valleys without fears climbing above

I cannot climb the prominence of your joy
nor leave your want of misted leaves lushly beneath
as clouds approach such dreamers
with an  effortless laughter of rains descending song

there we rise together
forever into each other

Wets one's whistle for more!

A uniquely strong poem, very vibrant in both imagery and content! My only critique is that it seemed to end a bit too soon!

It fell on appreciative ears

Powerfall images, you really conjured a colorful picture in my mind. I like the idea of "no air within music/ or rain within waterfalls". The ending did seem a bit abrupt, especially as your tone waschanging from nature images to more philosophical lines.

Oh mountain of Venus, high in the clouds of your imagination

Ann of Norway Oh mountain of Venus, high in the clouds of your imagination you reach out into the falling waters and try to capture it, and doing so experience the joy, the softness of the liquid pouring over your fingers and yet you cannot capture it, you see the colour of the flowers nod, the boulders full of crystals shine, the crash of their falling rocky and sublime and yet you cannot hold it in your hands for it is ever falling and falling this waterfall of life. Strive on for in the end you will capture her heart and become a part of her, dying into her waterfall.

my love poem for youlike sky

my love poem for you like sky flowers taking root, legs entwined, tendrils climbing crumbling stone walls in the Garden of My Beloved fingers enmeshed, shoots greening from our Lover's bed, take me my love, splay me open drink me with your human tongue, and feather me bright with your wings of longing sing to me with your rainbow mouth until we reach Centauri, fall like rain into the swollen ground of our being spilling our bliss like waterfalls of devotion. With waterfalls of love to Anna Kailashana and Barry Orphani.

Ann of Norway I reach the edge full flooded blown, and teeter on the brink, the view of forest fell and swell lie there before me spreading their bloomed presence with pride and handsome grace, the deep and dangerous precipice, I smoothly glide on stones of granite washed through years of sun-glazed fire feldspar quartz and pink bright stone, admire your surface as I roam about your shelf then down to other things much deeper than myself there are the banks of wild thyme, cotton grass and moss where sprays of tiny fountains fall from my embrace star spangled, dazzling, intimate cascades under the fallen tree I tumble dancing wildly, madly, free then into creviced walls of shale I flee, oh god-like presence there beside the lee, your dark embrace where squeeze the leaves of tiny plants release, they twinkle in the swoon of berries rocked in rhythmical unison the eddies of your cervical room, the womb of valleys worshipped groom, his bride the visions there created exceeding all that stories tell, as prince and princess columbine entwine and reach the golden plains of the divine. With waterfalls of love to Anna Kailashana and Barry Orphani.

a deliriously pleasurable thing to read

Ooooh divine Barry, how wonderful to read such promising love poetry from your oh so talented heart & intellect. This was pure pleasure & I would not change a thing it is a deliriously pleasurable thing to read & that is all I can say... except to drink a couple of lines once more (since I am a greedy wanton thing & love to revel in you happiness & loveliness, assuming I know who it is inspired by & happily so!)... your song speaks as water moving into my rooted green fingers as a boundless caressing ache of waterfalls surrounds my dream of your solitude Ahh who am I kidding B? I began reading again & could not actually isolate any particular line that I might embrace more than another... I love them all!!!! Bless you & your loving! Cheers Anni~ "Three passions have governed my life: The longings for love, the search for knowledge, And unbearable pity for the suffering of [humankind]." Bertrand Russell

Not sure which I like better...

I'm not sure which I like better, this one or the original. This one is definitely more suggestive of a love poem. I miss the line no air within music or rain within waterfalls but that's just my opinion. The ending you have now makes the whole poem cohere better, however. Your love poems are a sharp contrast to your "reality" poems, and a nice change in mood. As always, masterfully done! Jhena Mariposa
