Ann of Norway Magic Mona, I think you write for song, this repetition is suited well to song as it can be a tiny bit much in a poem that is short, not that short poems should be longer, but that they can have a saturation of ideas and say it all in one expression so to speak; well that's me I guess, I liked it, as who couldn't like the sentiments in it. You lover of life and your faith, you try hard to spread it and do so in every breath, the good Lord will indeed hear your song, it would truly be lovely with a choir singing it in church. No I am not being ironic, or in any way judging you, you have this joy, and that is what makes life so wonderful to live, doesn't it Mona? Long may you rejoice in it, its people who give, like you, that are the backbones of society, compassionate and warm towards their fellow men, no matter what, and that is a good quality. Lovely, you can hear those birds singing outside your windows Mona.

Yes, the past is the past and no point dwelling on it as we cannot change it. We can only learn and do it better today in order that tomorrow is already filled with love. I agree with Ann and feel the short poem is spoiled a little with a repeated line. It's just a suggestion as it is your work and you want to say what you want to say, and you may feel the repeat is necessary to bring home a point, but if you're after any suggestions, perhaps the second 'past does not last' could read 'the past has been cast' or 'for time goes too fast'? love the sentiments. lol judy

...i felt the deeper meaning of HOPE in your words, this piece uplifts a persons self worth, like you were just beside me supporting every challenge that I face, telling me: "..today we might have failed, tomorrow we shall succeed.." more of an inspiration, to nurture oneself in order to love others as well..
