Tam Lin’s restless cousin

You were powering forth like a hot North wind
Heading for your tragedy
Gliding free
Somehow pulling me
On the majesty
of your history

One pearl dripping quietly
Back in the cave of your soul
Birthed from the ache for the union
Before you left that place to your shadow’s troll

Ah, but your delicate hands don’t change
And vibrato gentle voice
Your velvet throated whisper
That once stole away my choice

Still in the wake of your roving gaze
Mysteries offer their keys
Virgins dream of wading your stream
And do their best to please

You drank me like ambrosia
and I licked your honey skin
I thought I drew your heart to mine
But I was never quite within

I feel your words like heavy rain
In a tropical storm at noon
Soaking deep, right through my skin
I’m an ocean again too soon

I am swept back to a summer evening
Walking on the sun
As it set below horizons
Drowning everyone

Not you though
You are Raynardine, Rhianon or Ruadan
Gone before the deluge hits
Always in a shape that fits
Leaving crumbs and golden tempting bits
For hearts as pure as moonlight

Nothing tawdry or banal
could leave a smear upon your shine
You have silver sheen without armour
And you weave it through every line

Tam LIn...

You have expressed quite nicely, the thoughts many of us have, but find hard to talk about. Must have different music in it though, it must be something I don't hear, because I couldn't get the rhythm of it in places. That's ok, because the words do hang together really well. You set the tone and mood with your descriptive pen, and I really didn't care much, after the second read. ~ hugs all 'round ~ Gee

Hey my dear Gee... yes, it is all over the place a bit in terms of the rhythm of the stanza's... I sort of like it that way... is that bad? I lose perspective on these things, it feels good to me with it's changing rhythm, but I can see it might be distracting or something to others, Guess that's why we put these things out there huh... though everyone will feel differently I suspect... as we do. Always lovely to see you Gee, I do hope you are feeling much better... My best to the lovely Wendy & your all. xx Cheers Anni~ "To thine own self be true, and it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man." ~William Shakespeare, Hamlet.

All over the place...

it's not really a bad thing. But like I said, it probably has a different rythym than what I am hearing. Yes, I am feeling better, and we are all well. Mother Nature has been beating the crap out of us for the last couple of weeks, but other than that we are doing ok. Are those drawings yours? Nice work. Glad to see you here more. Hope that everything is good with you too. How are you settling in? House getting done? Like to see some pics. when it is done. Hello to all the otters, ~ Gee

Oh what an ocean the sky fills, what dreamed futures,

Ann of Norway First in memory:- Oh what an ocean the sky fills, what dreamed futures, what frozen past, what sunlit memories caress the smooth silken sheen of your man, as he dissipates into the very clouds you love, in death now god-like beautiful, as a white marble statue in the halls of you inner thoughts. Those we love,we love for ever more, and he is still there with you, just like the coming of the seasons with the bees return to the flower, he comes to see you and is safe with you Anni I understand this poem and love it. (BUT I DIDN'T) This comment written before I read the little bit underneath!! Blind as a bat! So the next comment:- "Leaving crumbs and golden tempting bits For hearts as pure as moonlight"..................And here they all are those wonderful suitors of Anni!! Sing you moonstruck song Anni! Love to you good to see your pen scratching the surface f these pages again. Annushka wishes you well.

Yes, I am stretching more space in my purple moments!

My beloved Annushka, what a gorgeous poem you have brought to me, how indulged & delighted I feel... you bless me with your generosity all the time my wonderful friend, it is just so lovely. Who cares what you thought it was about (I mean who cares if it wasn't accurate to the letter), you offer such a lovely response... anyway, Mark is in there as well so it is also about him... thank you my wonderful snow queen. I think you know all of these feelings too... We are lovers of the world, we are lovers, not physically nor exclusive of eachother, we love so much so well, I know it of you, in the mirror my lovely friend Annushka of the huge heart. Yes, I am stretching more space in my purple moments! xx Cheers Anni~ "To thine own self be true, and it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man." ~William Shakespeare, Hamlet.
