COEUR DE LION

Hedged bets - homilies of hopelike barren fishermen re-tieing ropes, mending safety netslest we fall -cracks of carelessnessawait us allthe loveless, the loserthe forlorn. We bounce backbut with less spring -the joy's been overstretched along with the fling!Patience tested, faith appalledthe Lionheart* broken,

its confidence mauled. "Richochet forward, recoil backfrom the pain, it's time to resist the pull, regain the reigns -never to be fooledinto falling in love again!" BjR 22 Feb. '10 *Richard the Lion-hearted; from the French, Coeur de Lion, for his bravery, courage and prowess on the battlefield and his notable displays of chivalry and courtesy to fellow knights as well as enemies.

Hmmmm. Chivalry is not

Hmmmm. Chivalry is not dead. Thank God, it just morphed into a poet's heart. Love is the flag of choice embroidered in a fleur-de-lis. Miles of smiles, Anna "If parents really would love their children there would no longer be any war." J. Krishnamurti

whose heart beats find in other things the rose.

Ann of Norway How well you pen the definition of this sensation, and finding the strings that tie together stretched to limits, pained, they never mend the same again, and we recoil from opening our hearts to those, whose heart beats find in other things the rose. There are those who are chivalrous still but they don't sound their trumpets quite so high. Love Ann.

ah Ann!

How beautifully poetic your description of "WHOSE HEART BEAT FINDS IN OTHER THINGS THE ROSE" therein lies fodder for another poem! Thank you for sharing and your own inimitable style of support! :) Boni
