Cursed contraption,

I’ve called you bitch
not that you deserve a name
Evil pile of microchips
 process something I dare you

Hard drive of salt and vinegar

Source of my exasperation
 waster of my time

Stand up and fight
 you cowardly computer
I will show you fatal script errors

When we go to play with the other
 computers online…

They make fun of us

No matter how I scrub and clean
 you have dirty corrupted software

No update could ever cure you

Barely fit to be a word processor
 comparable to an old Condor

I could do more with my Atari
 I love Pac man
  Pong and
   Donkey Kong rules

I deserve better than
 being booted
  again
   and
    again
     and
      again

Frozen stone cold
 taunting little hourglass
Restart that email…
 write that poem again

I am Woman
 you are machine

Hear me roar

Now say hello to your replacement

Julie

Don’t I know how it feels

Don't I know how it feels to have a computer that plays up. Before I bought musyself this one I had a laptop that had a mind of its own and usually would turn itself off and refuse to re-boot no matter how many times I used my own boot against it. And it somehow, too, seemed to know which time I used it that was most important and would pretend to behave until I was almost done, just to tease me. lol Judy

Very witty and funny…I

Very witty and funny...I liked Judy's comment...we've all had our days of giving our compter a boot or two...the foot kind...not the re-boot. Rosina xena465

I am so glad you found the

I am so glad you found the humor with in my misery Rosina, no I am JK. I put it there. But I guess at the end of the write for once I would have liked a reason to not have to find the humorous side of it. But I thought it funny too. Can't go around mad all the time, it would send me to an early grave. Kids are already got that one being worked on, lol. So in the longrun all I can do is laugh. Much better than the madhouse, prison or death. Ok I doubt I am talking about my bitch of a computer anymore. LOL! Julie D.D.

Its only a computer to boot!

Ann of Norway How, how, how frustrated, ing it can be, I lost more than 100 GB's !!!!!!!! By being told to put a programme of software into my HD, the separate one from my computer's, and in doing so deleted a whole mass of ...I don't know what now...oh oh oh. Apart from that the Mac is a more reliable place to be I think, very little virus and such, and no crashes(SH!!!!) but then here I am NOW on your Windows thing and am out on a limb I had better keep my voice down or it may hear and let all hell loose on me Sh!!!!!! The sudden disappearance of a written poem or letter that has taken ages to compose, is devastating, until one learns how to recover it, we live and learn, and as the young have this to 'play' with at an early age they will become as accustomed to it as we are to our own brains, it will become second nature and their minds will become steered partly by the technology, if not all. I know of one boy who is fit for NOTHING else, he is handicapped for life, cannot do anything else but....wow where machines take over, they were right when the first machines came, the workmen rebelled, we shall breed a new race of peoples I think, soon. What minds do they have for poetry? Great burst of anger and frustration Julie, Love from Ann

I doubt I have written a 100

I doubt I have written a 100 gb ever Ann. I couldn't imagin. I am lucky usualy. I did have a mishap way back that lost some of my Neo stuff, the main word copy's though. I had to cry and copy a lot of stuff. And it still isn't the original works. But life does move on past such difficultys. I guess if this is the worst tradgey I have to complain about at the moment. I am pretty gosh darn lucky. Nina is going to make me BALL my head off she has been writting tributes, rememberances. I really have much to be thankful for in the long run. And we have many advantages to technology. I have worked on computers that don't cause more work. I just don't own one sadly. LOL. Thanks for the read and understanding Ann, my sweet queen of Norway. I have been watching the news threads of some of the Norwegian Olymic athletes. Way pretty. Amazing views. Maybe one day I will get to see them! Much love from Your Pupil, Julie D.D.

Never by factory new in regards to computers LOL It may be more that a year before this puppy is grown up.. ..need a bit of polish there and that will be a very good one ;) Mark "I do not walk the earth and eat out of dumpsters, I'm not a bum, I'm beat."

Yay, being the Guinea pig is

Yay, being the Guinea pig is never fun Mark. But occasionaly BETA is the start of something great. I am sure Myspace, FB, Twitters, all had BETA. Neo is an ongoing BETA lots of love. Bugs don't work all the way through till the customer can tear it apart with all the skill of a drunken clown. Then what follows should be something worth more than 350$ lol. But I am looking forward to upgrading to windows 7. Completly skipping the last disaster. I am currently still on XP. But my processing capibilitys and dial up make it feel like 98. Oh well. T minus... well like a week or two and I will gladly be a guinea pig with a freash start. May even get satilite internet to celebrate. Might get something done. Now that would be a novel idea. Might leave me time to actualy write something more than a bitch about my computer. OK enough. Thanks for the read Mark. Julie D.D.

Thanks Mark, I to can find

Thanks Mark, I to can find things precious in others frutsterations. And to have you visit it and like it twice. I may swoon from the attention. Becareful we might start getting along with each other or some such left field thing or something. And of coarse I am just kidding, I even spelled it out to make sure you know. So I am using my new laptop and it is much faster. BUT I did not celebrate with highspeed. Maybe in a few months. 3 kids always need something before tripling my internet bill to graduate to satelite. I will never have dsl here. Sucks about internet, but I wouldn't live in town if you.... well unless I lose my damn house I ain't moving to town! And that just isn't in my future. For now. Life does know how to stir things up. Anyways you caught me for my first responce comment of the day. Again. So I am yaking, off to get some stuff done. Really, thanks for coming by this page again Mark. I don't know if I have as much invested in this as I do others, but you liking it is a definite perk. Julie D.D.

Thanks Jayne, Hugs right

Thanks Jayne, Hugs right back and big peck on the cheek! I am already sittin pretty with my new laptop, now just trying to see what I can get done. At least you could use your husbands computer, mine won't even touch one. Give in a chainsaw, ax, knife. Wow that sounds way violent, but not at all, just woodsie, perfect in my opinion. As I hope most wives think of thier husbands. Anyways, thanks for reading and understanding. Always appreaciated. xoxoxox Julie D.D.
