Dormant Energy
Peeled down to nothing,
My heart drums vigorous thoughts,
Days begone bring zings,
The cloud of conscience evades, nonsense fills,
Distress silences. Then anger bursts.
A barren new life fills the past,
A nuke-blast. Terrible burst.
Now, namby-pamby minds
Tremor. Past lives in radiation.
Hey! Hiroshima reconstructed.
My mind is lame, deformed.
War mementos make a tomb.
We are after power, corrupt authority.
When we govern, it covers ignominy.
Clouds recast. Designs get reprinted.
The comet of hope brings destruction.
For it is a premonition of ill-omen.
Peeled down to nothing--
Onions we are. Tears coming
Mind's molecules cannot mollify.
Stagnant future constantly haunt.
Oh! please soporify me. Let me be content.
That drowsiness may enlighten
And enable me to cry: "Stop!
Stop the fission. Stop the implosion.
Stop explosion.
Let my energy be dormant!"
My heart drums vigorous thoughts,
Days begone bring zings,
The cloud of conscience evades, nonsense fills,
Distress silences. Then anger bursts.
A barren new life fills the past,
A nuke-blast. Terrible burst.
Now, namby-pamby minds
Tremor. Past lives in radiation.
Hey! Hiroshima reconstructed.
