Poem: Avoiding Hell?

Have you sealed your fate
with the rejection of Him?
Accept Christ now
before your life wears thin.

For in permanent separation
there's no God or peace -
Only continual torment and anguish
without any comfort or release.

Alone in the dark
as fallen angels without light,
you too will become a demon creature
lacking hope of spiritual sight.

Forget about Purgatory,
but make a decision today -
avoiding Hell can be done,
for Christ is the Life, Truth and Way.

Sacred thoughts

I often wonder: Had we faith in Jesus, this world would have been a Heaven. Superficial faith and inner cruelty make us cruel. Christ is the life--you said it.

Perhaps, it would do you an honour, to practice and not preach. There are folks from all over the world here, we're poets first and not religious messengers. However, I never shoot the messenger. Write poems not sermons and don't pretend. ~A

Greetings

I can predict how you would react if someone attended your church and expounded secular material veiled as a sermon is it your intent to convert or simply to brag of your tact as a witness to your fellows? so devote.. I could only hope that you make mention of the site, as you rightously declare " I spread the gospel, to heathen poets." so that a few may venture here and observe unyoked folk free from constant rehashed guilt and lacking starched minds. In Ink, I Know No Box ps Man made God the scripture is plagerized

yep

Step 1: Fabricate a deity. Step 2: Declare said deity to be ungraspable. Step 3: Insist that all humankind should act like deer stuck in head lights over said deities " awesomeness".

This is a poem not a sermon

And it is good too Joseph. For the life of me when I read a poem that has the word God in it people jump to their own conclusions that it is a preach and I do not read it in that manner. I liked this poem and also when others write about Zen, Buddha etc I never see such comments on their page of discontent. Lord knows we all have different beliefs. Everyone writes what they love or want to write about and since you are talking of God here it is no different then the other things people call Him or Her, if you can understand what I mean. Oh well another day at Neopoet what can I say but I read the poem first without reading the comments afterwards and this is what I got from it. Great write, do not fear to write of whatever or whomever you choose, afterall it is our free speeh that is allowed here for all. If it bothers them then why do they bother to let you know. Just a thought here no one go throwing stones:) Mona xoxoo TIME well spent is TIME well lived
