A LAND OF TITLES
A LAND OF TITLES Some of our country men like to boastThe big mouths would say, we are the giantsThe most populous black homeland, worldwide They enjoy the use of labels and titlesTo show they have arrived, Sir, AlhajiHis Excellency, the Reverend Doctor Leading the age grades and the commonThey take pleasure in being called ChiefCommander of Grand Republic, you know? The Honourables leading the band wagonsTainted images of the dregs and the shadyFour one nine justifies the swindling game Ordinary people can make us proud, reallyIf they are true to the land of their birthSo, drop these inglorious vain titles These titles bought with lots of moneyOnly undermine the rich heritage of the landA good name, they say, is better than sacrifice
