Hold My Heart

Hold my heart

Just hold my heart,

For a wee while,

As I smile

Hold it carefully

Don’t let it fall

You’ll break it.

Don’t squeeze it too much

Twill burst

Avoid your nails,

They‘re like thorns,

Twill bleed.

When you peep into my heart,

Don’t lick it,

It may bloat.

When you put it back,

Be happy and glad,

You can enter into my heart

And stay forever,

If you wish

Reside within me,

As long as I live.

Wonderful love poem this Istan.

Ann of Norway An intimate piece for the intimate situation. "Twill", you seem determined to throw in the old fashioned words that do not add to the quality of your poem; I would leave them out unless you are in dire need of them, for the flow and the rhyme. I can tend to use them but then I hope they are in context with the rest of the poem. Wonderful love poem this Istan. Yours Ann
