Were minutes young

Were minutes young…..

Wild crazy moments in an orchard glade,
affection chased round pear shaped tree
Find a love budding sometimes seeded,
is this what dreamers get for free

Crushed lips sore, hand in new hand,
broken is tryst to each other one
Honesty a larkish thing at morning,
cupids bow forever being undone

Working harder than any old bard,
words they’re just flowing, gone south
Nothing coherent ever gets aired,
promises made onside of mouth

Finding the right affair each day
heart again lost never to be found
Head over heels or so it seems
then all at once you touch ground

Go to bed with sad songs at night,
young lover must suffer some pain
Wondering why you awake each day,
refreshed to go through this again

It’s morning and with expectations high,
all clutter falls off shoulder garment
Already in love, with a wonderful blue sky,
time to chase the next, lovely varmint.

Finding true love can be bitter sweet,
but  everyones song must be sung.
fear not rejection from those you meet,
as soon you'll find, were minutes young..

Hi

wow, great piece...............loved the way you express the play of humanity. We look for love, to validate the need in us. For love turns into hate.......and hate into forgiveness. The cycle of our race. The never ending pitfall of the ego. Stefan

cupids bow forever being undone

would have made a supurb title for this -piece Roscoe! Really clever write, so descriptively accurate going through all the excitement and joy of a newly found love: "Wild crazy moments in an orchard glade, affection chased round pear shaped tree Find a love budding sometimes seeded, is this what dreamers get for free "(?) I WOULD PUT THE QUESTION MARK IN HERE... only to be crushed again then all at once you touch ground 'Go to bed with sad songs at night, young lover must suffer some pain Wondering why you awake each day, refreshed to go through this again...' Delighted how you invoke new hope - despite the despair - and that theme if repeated more than once! Enjoyed this piece! Bonita j
