Where Has The Time Gone

 

Where has all the time gone
Does it unwind its beat ahead 

Is it something that stands still
Father time, his clock and his will


Where have all the tears gone
No more sadness awakens the dawn


For soon the suns time has come
Smiling white lilies spring a life 


Will the clock stop its beat
or chime for all its defeats 

The time, when will it start again
Where did it go my friend  

Is it now, or was it then
our clocks time will never end

Second hands, second chances
Time for peace and romances

Where has the time gone
seemed just like yesterday 

You smile, I sing
Time together just for now.

I just went in to tweak this morning let me know if it still looks okay and sounds okay. I have this thing with clocks and time so precious it is and how quickly it can be gone. That is so true where has all the time gone? I watched some home movies and could not believe just in the last ten years how we all have grown older me and my bro's and family. Seen alot of old old movies when we were kids in the snow oh my would I do anything to have those days here again. Time marches on and we shall also. Thank you lovely lady for stopping by. Thank you Judy and yes the time where is it and where is it going? One thing we can not do is slow it down that's for sure. You wrote a poem about you and your dad and how much I loved it so. I loved it all!!

The poem and the topic!! Time is a universal theme isn't it? Someone asked me on my Front Porch website the other day in the Chatbox...Dusty? If you could wave a magic want and be 22 again would you do it? My reply? SHOOT NO!!! I'm happy right where I am!! She said, "But you're getting old!!!!" I told her to go wash out her mouth!! I wasn't old at all....I was simply CHRONOLOGICALLY-CHALLENGED!! AHHAHAHAHAHA!! young whippersnapper!! Whaduzsheknow, right? Great job on this!! Love Dusty
